For The Future Chicago

Grant Recipients

  • Infant Welfare Society Family Health

IWS provides full-service primary care to infants, children and adolescents from birth to age 18. Our providers work across disciplines to coordinate the physical and mental health of each child and family. IWS pediatric patients receive routine infant, child and adolescent care; management of chronic health problems such as asthma; comprehensive medical and developmental screenings; and immunizations.

  • Upbeat Music and Arts

UpBeat’s mission is to help students reach their full potential in life THROUGH music. This is more than a music lesson, as students gain self-confidence and develop skills that last a lifetime. In addition to learning the fundamentals of music performance and theory, students learn life lessons such as accountability, discipline, kindness, and humility.

  • 826Chi

826CHI is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting students ages 6 to 18 with their creative and expository writing skills and to helping teachers inspire their students to write.

  • Ignite Chicago

Ignite offers a comprehensive continuum of services to young people between the ages of 14 to 26 who are unstably housed or experiencing homelessness. Beyond meeting youth's immediate needs, our services provide youth with all the tools and support they need to succeed: stable housing; access to employment and education opportunities; primary and mental health care; lasting connections with caring adults, and the skills to live a healthy and independent life.
