For The Future Chicago

Grant Recipients

  • La Rabida Children's Hospital

At La Rabida Children’s Hospital, our patients aren’t like any other — and neither are we. The children we serve live with complex medical conditions, disabilities, abuse or trauma. At La Rabida, we’re in it for the long haul, and we’ve got Chicago’s most talented providers — pediatricians, nurses, physical, occupational, speech and developmental therapists — on our side.

  • Chicago West Community Music Center

It started with a desire to narrow the gap.

Chicago West Community Music Center was formed to provide high quality music instruction and community performances to reduce the music-related achievement gap between minority and non-minority students, and between economically disadvantaged students and their more advantaged peers.

  • College Possible

We believe a college degree is the surest pathway to economic mobility and community vitality, and that a stronger Chicago is fueled by expanding access to equitable college opportunity.

Founded in 2015, College Possible Chicago has grown to support 1,800 students from under-represented communities on their path to earning a college degree. Our work helps close Chicago’s college opportunity gap: a reported 75% of Chicago Public Schools (CPS) freshmen aspire to go to college but only 21% are projected to earn their bachelor’s degree within six years of graduating high school. This translates to over 20,000 CPS students each year who will not earn their bachelor’s degree, creating an opportunity gap in a system where 77% of students come from an economically disadvantaged background.

  • Chicago HOPES for Kids

Chicago HOPES for Kids provides comprehensive support to Chicago students and families experiencing homelessness. We are committed to our children’s educational development and long-term empowerment through academic support, dedicated mentorship and basic needs services.

We are committed to offering direct academic services and holistic investment for the long-term resilience, school success and future prosperity of Chicago children experiencing homelessness. Our core values are built upon community, agency, play, illumination, resilience, and presence.
